Banju Boutique

Selling bathrooms since 1962

Banju Boutique;

A story started in 1962.

The late Paul Tabone founded Banju Boutique in 1962 in Żejtun. Together with his family who helped him throughout his business, Paul Tabone saw Banju Boutique grow to be one of Malta’s leading bathroom centres.

1962 - Where it all began

Banju Boutique Limited dates back to the year 1962, where Mr. Paul Tabone started a small family business in Żejtun.

1972 - Moving to Żabbar

After, in 1970, Mr. Tabone moved to Żabbar, to a small one roomed, street level shop in Sanctuary Street, Żabbar, under his name, Paul Tabone Bathroom Centre. In a couple of years, the showroom moved to a larger property opposite to the first one, in the same street.

1982 - A huge step forward

Years of success passed, and in 1982. the family business moved to an even larger building at Tal-Barrani Road, Żejtun, where it consisted of a showroom and a large warehouse, at the same time keeping the second showroom in Żabbar. During the same year, the business changed its name to Banju Boutique.

1996 - Opening in Poala as a company

Mr Tabone, together with his family that helped him throughout his business venture, decided to go a step further in 1996, where Banju Boutique was then established as a Private Limited Company, and opened a larger two storey showroom at Arcade Street, Paola. Due to the transition of a sole trader business to a Private Limted Company, the name of the business then changed to Banju Boutique Limited.

Growing into Malta’s

leading bathroom centre

Banju Boutique’s two storey showroom at Arcade Street, Paola has one of Malta’s largest displays of bathrooms. It also features a wide range of tiles, bathroom furnishings and accessories.

2003 - New Warehouse

Due to the growth that the company was going through during this period, the warehouse at Żejtun was not fulfilling its purpose. Therefore, Mr Tabone and his family decided to go another step forward, where they opened up an even larger warehouse at Timber Warf, Marsa. The warehouse at Żejtun was then closed.

2012 - New Corporate Image

Banju Boutique Ltd was revamped during these two years. A new corporate image was established, with a new logo, new website and new company colours.

2013 - The Laufen Showroom

During the process of obtaining a new corporate image, Banju Boutique opened a new, state of the art showroom in Msida, in collaboration with Camilleri Paris Mode Ltd, and one of its sanitary ware suppliers - Laufen.

The Present

Today, Banju Boutique Limited serves as a well established tile and bathroom centre in Malta, keeping in line with the demand of its clientele, whilst offering them the latest trends that the bathroom and tile market offers.
